XLPE insulated PVC sheathed power cable, 20℃, per kilometer length of insulation resistance minimum value is:
 
Rated voltage 6kV, conductor section 16 - 35mm2, generally not less than 1000MΩ; conductor section 50 - 95mm2, generally not less than 750MΩ; conductor section 120 - 240mm2, generally not less than 500MΩ.
 
Rated voltage 10kV, conductor section 16 - 35mm2, generally not less than 2000MΩ; conductor section 50 - 95mm2, generally not less than 1500MΩ; conductor section 120 - 240mm2, generally not less than 1000MΩ.
 
Insulation resistance conversion formula: R20= Rt×k×L/1000
In which: R20—20℃ insulation resistance, MΩ.km
Rt—The insulation resistance measured values, MΩ;
k—Insulation resistance temperature conversion factor;
L—The length of the sample, m
 
0℃ temperature coefficient is 0.48; 5℃ the coefficient is 0.57; 10℃ coefficient is 0.70; 15 ℃ coefficient is 0.85; 20 ℃ 
the coefficient is 1.0, 25℃ the coefficient is 1.13; 30 ℃ the coefficient is 1.41, 35℃ the coefficient is 1.66, 40 ℃ the coefficient is 1.92.
